Questions we hear a lot

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees. A First Mate helps run the trip, and a 20% tip for the mate is customary.

What's the cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 7 days before your trip with no penalty.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes — a Michigan fishing license is required, available online or the captain can point you the right way. Some species may need a special tag or be off-limits, so it's worth checking what's in season.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Captain Anthony Sova keeps an eye on it and will reach out ahead of time to reschedule your trip or cancel — you won't be left guessing.

What's biting right now?

See the catch board for the latest — we post near-daily updates there, on Facebook, and right here on the site.
